LESSON POLICY EXPLAINED
(Please make sure you have read and understood our policies, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask your instructor)
Lesson Schedule: Lessons are conducted on a weekly, bi-weekly, or drop-in basis, for either 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 60 minutes, depending on the assessed level and development of the Student and availability of instructor and lesson horses. Each student is designated a specific, ongoing weekly or bi-weekly day and time for lessons which has been reserved exclusively for Student. Please arrive a minimum of 10-15 minutes before your scheduled lesson time. Arriving more than 15 minutes after your scheduled lesson results in forfeiting the lesson.
We make every effort to ensure we can fit our services into your schedule. Your lesson day/time is just that, YOURS! We ask you come a bit early to make sure we can run on time. If you're going to be a few minutes late, that's ok! Please message us to let us know. Arriving 15 minutes past your scheduled time disrupts other students who were prepared and punctual, regretfully you will forfeit your riding time.
Cancellation Policy: Scheduled days cannot be cancelled. Unused scheduled days are not refundable and cannot be made up. ***Rescheduling may be offered at instructor's discretion in individual cases***
As with other group type sports, classes missed by riders cannot be rescheduled or made up, riders forfeit that day. We cannot offer rescheduling, credits or prorate tuition. In the event our facility or staff must reschedule, we will honor the rescheduled lesson for up to 30 days.
Payment Lesson tuition is auto-billed in monthly installments via PaySimple. Checks and cash are no longer accepted as of January 1, 2018. Cancelled or bounced payments will result in Student’s lesson slot being forfeited.
Your first tuition payment may have come to you as an invoice via email. All following tuition payments are automatic withdrawal payments from PAYSIMPLE. PAYSIMPLE sends out a reminder email that tuition will be withdrawn 72 hours before payment is due. Our staff is no longer allowed to accept cash or check from students or clients.
Termination of Lessons. Lessons are continuous and ongoing, effective as of the date of this Policy and Agreement written above. Student may terminate lessons for any reason. To terminate lessons, Student must provide at least 2 weeks notice to Whip-O-Will Stables, during which time the tuition has been paid in full. Whip-O-Will Stables may also terminate lessons for any reason, and auto-billing will be cancelled at the time of termination. Lesson fees will not be pro-rated and there will be no refunds issued.
We ask for you to notify us 2 weeks ( 14 days) prior to your next tuition due date if you plan to suspend or cancel your lessons with us. Without 14 days notice we are unable to prorate and the following tuition will be charged. You will have the right to take those paid for lessons.

Meet The Head Instructor: Amanda Lynn Girard
Evangeline's First Day Home
*Licensed Massachusetts Riding Instructor
* Barefoot Trimmer
* Natural Horsemanship Trainer
*CHA certified English/Western
*N.E. 4-H Carded Judge
Amanda's involvement with horses started at the age of 7 when her mare "Snap Crackle N' Pop" was born November 27th 1995. Her miles in the saddle did not begin until the age of twelve when she rode with Natural Horsemanship trainer , Nancy Adams. " Starting off as a timid rider, I can relate to a lot of my students fears and give first hand experiences, help solve problems and confidence related issues with great success" . Amanda went on to later compete locally in English and Western disciplines, adding versatility and dressage to the mix. Although dressage philosophies have always been a base for all teachings done by Amanda, she has taken dressage from a principal to a discipline. Training is also something Amanda loves to do. She has experience with breaking horses from the ground up, to working with abuse and neglect cases. "Our horses here are either farm bred or rescued, they have wonderful personalities and it's an amazing feeling to bring them back around as riding horses and more importantly as human companions". She continues her education by attending local clinics and workshops pertaining to riding, training and driving. Amanda is working on obtaining certifications in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy to further expand the farm, and reach out to those most in need of the animals. Amanda's main focus is to create calm, confident and capable riders no matter what discipline or ability.
